AgentCAD is not a GUI replacement for AutoCAD. It is a local CAD runtime that lets coding agents write geometry as build123d Python and then executes, validates and exports the result. It reimplements the core of professional CAD, geometry creation plus STEP and mesh export, in a code-first workflow and does not provide an on-screen sketch editor. About 22% of public commits carry an AI co-author trailer, which supports AI involvement in its creation.
